In May 2025, I carried out a dissemination activity during an Environmental Protection class with around 10 students. The session was designed to introduce the concept of sustainability and to encourage students to reflect on their own daily behaviors and their impact on the environment.
The activity included two interactive exercises:
– A test where students had to match different means of transport with the level of carbon dioxide emissions they generate.
– An online footprint calculator, where each student discovered their personal carbon footprint.
Both exercises sparked lively discussions. Students were surprised by some of the results, and the activity motivated them to critically examine their choices. The conversation was long and engaging, with everyone actively looking for practical solutions to reduce environmentally harmful habits in their daily lives.
The session showed how even small classroom activities can lead to deeper awareness and inspire students to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.
