YE “The EcoTide” – 26 April 2026- 4 May 2026,ALBAIDA, SPAIN

Dates: 26 April 2026- 4 May 2026

Place: ALBAIDA, SPAIN

About the project:

In a time when rivers carry more plastic than fish and beaches are increasingly covered in waste, young people across Europe are directly seeing how water pollution affects their communities. From littered riverbanks to polluted seas, environmental problems are now part of everyday reality. Many young people care deeply about these issues, but often they don’t know where to start or how to turn their frustration into real action.

The “EcoTide” Youth Exchange comes as a space where concern becomes action. The project will bring together young people who want to better understand what is happening to our rivers and seas and why waste management and daily habits matter so much. Through interactive activities, group discussions, outdoor experiences and creative workshops, participants will explore how local environmental problems are connected to global challenges and how small actions can have a bigger impact than they might think.

Instead of just talking about pollution, participants will actively experiment with ideas and solutions and realize that environmental challenges don’t stop at borders, and neither should the solutions. By the end of the exchange, participants will go home with more clarity, more motivation and more confidence to take initiative. They won’t just leave with memories, but with concrete ideas and the courage to start small actions in their own communities. “EcoTide” is mostly about feeling capable of making a difference and understanding that change starts with young people who decide to act together.
