On 29 May 2025, part of the Macedonian team carried out a national dissemination activity in Krusevo, North Macedonia, where I met with a group of local youth aged 14–16. The aim was to introduce them to the principles of green thinking and environmental responsibility, raising awareness about sustainable living and empowering the next generation to make eco-conscious choices in their daily lives.
To spark interest and inspiration, we watched a video by Bea Johnson, pioneer of the zero-waste movement. Her practical and down-to-earth approach to sustainable living encouraged the students to reflect on their own habits and see how change can start with small, everyday actions.
Following the video, we held a relaxed group discussion where participants shared ideas on how to reduce waste, protect the environment, and integrate simple sustainable habits into their routines.
The workshop’s main goal was to help the students understand the direct impact of their personal choices on the planet and to show them that every small step toward sustainability counts. The session ended with a shared commitment to think greener, act responsibly, and inspire others in their community to do the same.
