Dissemination activity under TC “Play & Resolve: Gamified Solutions for Peacebuilding”

On May 10, 2025, a teacher training session took place at the 3rd Primary School of Riza in Zakynthos Island, Greece, as part of the “Play and Resolve: Gamified Solutions for Peacebuilding” Erasmus+ Training Course.

Eight teachers from primary schools across Zakynthos took part in a hands-on workshop exploring the value of gamification for building peace in the school environment. Participants game-tested two innovative educational games adapted in Greek for elementary school students that foster emotional intelligence, cooperation, and empathy.

  • “Journey to the Land of Emotions” is a board game inspired by the Nonviolent Communication Theory, helping children identify and express their feelings, needs, and requests.
  • “Time-Travellers of Peace” is an educational escape room where students solve puzzles to prevent historical conflicts and promote peace.

The session was led by Eirini Dardioti (Special Education Teacher) and Eleni Karpouza (Elementary School Teacher), who shared practical insights and inspired participants to integrate the tools into their classrooms. The event received enthusiastic feedback, highlighting the potential of gamified learning for peace education.
