About the project:

“One Earth, One Chance” is a mobility of youth workers, KA1 Training Course, under Erasmus+ and will be implemented by Asociación PROJUVEN. The training course will take place in Benalmádena (Málaga area), Spain and will involve 28 youth workers (21+) from 7 different countries (Denmark, Belgium, Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland and Spain).

The main aim of “One Earth, One Chance” is to provide youth workers with new knowledge and competences on climate change. In this regard, some of the specific objectives of the project for youth workers are:

-To better understand the threat of climate change for present and future generations.

-To explore cause & effect of climate change and understanding the influence of human activities.

-To discover the importance of climate change mitigation and adaptation to prevent the negative impacts that climate change can causes on human life and on the planet.

-To discuss climate change implications at global levels, going through, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green new deal.

-To think about how different young people are motivated (or demotivated) to act on climate change for many reasons and explore how youth workers can empower them.

Participant profile:

-Mix of existing and experienced youth workers but also youth workers who are new or newish to climate change education and environmental sustainability.
-Ready to actively promote climate change education among young people and equip them with knowledge necessary to take action.
-Ready to actively participate in the whole project (preparation, training course and follow-up).
-Demonstration of social sensibilities (socially active youth workers/volunteers with a role in local communities).
-Ready to organize at least one follow-up activity using the experience from this training (individually or together with another person from the same country) within 2 months after the training with youth from their local community.
-Ready to implement one activity for publicity to share results from the training – some blog interviews, article, FB post, etc.
-Experienced or interested in working with Erasmus+ programme.

Accomodation and food:

Malaga is a municipality, capital of the Province of Málaga, in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain. With a population of 591,000 in 2021, it is the second-most populous city of Andalusia and the sixth-largest in Spain. The city is an important tourist destination, known as “The capital of Costa del Sol”. Tourists usually visit the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and the Museo Picasso Málaga, the Carmen Thyssen Museum, the old town or the beaches. The Málaga harbour is also the second busiest cruise port of the Iberian Peninsula. A popular walk leads up the hill to the Gibralfaro castle (a Parador), offering panoramic views over the city. The castle is next to the Alcazaba, the old Muslim palace, which in turn is next to the inner city of Málaga. Other nearby attractions are the Roman Theatre, the old Jewish quarter, the Cathedral, and the Church of Santiago in mudéjar style. A popular walk follows the Paseo del Parque (a promenade that runs alongsidea grand park with many palm trees and statues) to the harbour, ending in Calle Larios, the main commercial street of the city. There is also a curious museum, the Museum of the Holy Week, which includes an impressive display of Baroque ecclesiastical items.

During the project duration (20– 27 of April, 2023), the participants will be offered (free of charge) accommodation in Aparthotel for 7 nights, 3 meals and 2 coffee breaks a day, materials etc. Each apartment counts with kitchen, two double rooms, two bathrooms and one sofa bed situated in the living room. The participants will be accommodated in Aparthotel First Flatotel International, Benalmádena, Costa del Sol (Málaga metropolitan area). The Aparthotel has a swimming pool and solarium, both open year-round, free gym, games room, exclusive bar-restaurant- buffet services, pool bar, free Wi-Fi in both rooms and common areas. The accommodation is situated in just 20 meters from Benalmádena’s Yucas Beach. In addition, it is located about 20 km from the center of Malaga and 12 km from the airport. In front of the establishment you will find a bus stop with service every 15 minutes.

Travel, Insurance and Finances:

Maximum travel costs per participant from Bulgaria will be 270 euro.

Contribution fee:

There is no contribution fee for the project
