The day before the International volunteering day (5.12), Alternativi International team among with EVS (European voluntary service) volunteers and local volunteers from “Volunteer Academy”
organized an event – “Volunteer night” in a local high school. Students, teachers and guest had the chance to learn new and interesting facts about volunteering in local and international level. During the event people could hear the inspiring stories of EVS volunteers in the association.
The young and mo
tivated people from 4 countries shared why they choose Blagoevgrad,
what is to be a volunteer and what gives them being a volunteer. And even more, everyone had the chance to learn how and why their classmates decide to be part of “Volunteer Academy” – a project supported by the Ministry of youth and sport of Bulgaria.
The local and ambitious volunteers revealed some secrets and shared their upcoming initiatives. But that was not all, during “Volunteer night”, people had the chance to get new information about Erasmus + program and opportunities which it give to young people to develop themselves and of course to try their luck on our lucky wheel which gave them not only curious facts, but lots of challenges and gifts. The whole night was full with smiles and wish for being better human beings in future volunteers’ eye.
