About the project:
The proposal aims to introduce participants and local youth with certain social problems but also propose alternatives to solve, and it mostly by volunteering as a method of acquiring skills and additional qualifications to enhance the competitiveness of the youth in labor market. Our project will include mostly young people who are unemployed for a long time looking for work, but not enough qualified. The project will introduce youth the new possibility to acquire skills which can them in their way to find employment opportunities. Since volunteering remains underdeveloped in some countries, we would like to present it as a valuable method for acquiring valuable soft skills and experience to be used by youth to become successful in labor market. Since the target group is specific and certainly not random, we have studied its needs based on the experience of the partners.
We aim to introduce volunteering-how and what skills are acquired, how are validated at national and EU level, how to become volunteers on different levels in relation also to employability skills, the meaning of soft skills and how important they are for finding a job nowadays. All these we believe will help them to improve their competence in the future and be able to find work more easily. The overall aim is to present volunteering as a tool for developing useful knowledge, skills and competences to help youth combat unemployment.
Objectives:
-present country realities and trends related to youth unemployment in Europe
-to provide youth with understanding and knowledge of the modern employability skills and the importance of soft skills
-to raise awareness on the value and benefits of volunteering in terms of acquiring skills, knowledge and competences that can be suitable for the labor market
-to raise awareness on different opportunities and programs for volunteering on national and European levels
Participant profile:
‣ From 16 to 30 years old;
‣ young people from rural areas;
‣ young people who have never participated in Erasmus+ mobility or have less experience;
‣ young people motivated to acquire new knowledge and skills;
‣ Young people motivated to learn more about project topic.
Participating countries:
Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Romania
Insurance, Travel and Finances:
Insurance: Health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organizers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance or/and to have a valid EUROPEAN INSURANCE CARD.
Accomodation and food:
Accomodation and food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for the duration of the activities will be covered by the receiving organzation Alternativi International. All participants will be accomodated in Royal Bansko aparthotel , located in Bansko Bulgaria at the follwoing address: ul. “Kosherinata” 2770, Bansko, Bulgaria
Contribution fee:
There is no contribution fee for the project
