Partner countries:

Italy, Latvia, Poland, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia and Romania

Accomodation:

The Youth Exchange will happen in Bergolo , a village of 50 inhabitants located on the hills of south Piedmont, in Italy. The village doesn’t have shops and it is the ideal place for disconnecting, dive into nature and stay together as a group without external distractions. Bergolo has a long tradition of music, art & cultural festivals. It is a peaceful destination for nature and outdoor activities lovers. The participants will be accommodated in L’Alveare hostel (meaning “The Hive”); it comprises a dining area; bedrooms with 2 – 4 beds of the same gender; bathrooms shared by 2-4 people; a kitchen for groups and a large terrace overlooking the hills. Three meals per day and coffee breaks will be arranged during the program in the accommodation. The individual dietary needs will be followed. However, it will be family-style cooking which reflects the local cuisine habits. If you prefer , you can choose to be accommodated alone in a tent in the camping which is 300 meters far from the hostel, we can provide you camping mattress, sleeping bag and pillow. The camping has 6 toilets and 6 showers. There should be 8 participants staying in the tents, given the recent Italian law restricting the number of participants per room. You’ll fill your preference later on in the registration form. There will be several meetings rooms for use, we will alternate depending on the nature of the activities.

Group responsiability:

Rurapreneurship+- Erasmus+ Youth Exchange As a group, we will be responsible for the caring and cleaning of the spaces that we will be using, to keep a functional and harmonious environment.  The participants will take part in simple house duties to make the whole accommodation system work (preparing coffee breaks, arranging and cleaning the dining area, cleaning the common spaces and their own rooms etc.) this will happen in small groups with a duties rotation system.  It is an educational choice: we believe that it is relevant to learn to take care of our own needs as a group. In case you are searching for an experience where somebody else is cleaning for you or serving you, this Youth Exchange is not suitable for you.   In order to reduce the number of people in the sleeping room (requirement of the covid safety regulations).Given the location and the potential by a large number, kindly do not rely on the Wi-Fi connection, therefore we advise on not having any commitment to external entities during the programme.

What to bring:

-A refillable bottle for water.

-There will be an intercultural night, you may bring light objects that can represent your country,  as souvenirs or snacks.

-Toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel, and others if needed (hairdryers).

-Good mood, ideas and lots of energy!

COVID-19 measures

Yes, we know, you were waiting for this!

By the time of writing the present infopack (first week of June 2021), it is mandatory for foreigners entering Italy to have negative COVID-19 molecular (PCR) or antigen tests. Both tests are done with a nasal swab. The passenger’s negative coronavirus test must have been carried out at most 72 hours prior to departure (the exact hour of flight). We strongly recommend the participants to be fully vaccinated, as the vaccination certificate exempts the travellers from COVID-19 testing before the travel to Italy, and prior to returning to their countries.

The fee of COVID-19 testing will be incumbent upon the participants, and not subject to reimbursement. We may arrange testing from a laboratory directly on the site for a fee of 50€ to 60€. If a participant turns COVID-19 positive in the testing occurring before the arrival to Italy, we commit to fully reimburse her travel expenses, given the provision of a positive verifiable certificate. The participant also needs to fully respect the health protocol imposed by the authorities at the time of the youth exchange,  the safety measures that apply to group events:

Physical Distance:

•People must keep a distance of at least 1 meter between each other, follow the walking direction within the buildings or rooms, with particular attention to the entrance and exit areas. In this regard, there will be some informative signs (e.g. stickers attached to the floor, route marking tapes, etc.).

•Physical direct touch must be avoided.

Masks:

•People must always wear a mask in closed common areas. When people are outdoor the mask must be worn only when the distance of at least 1 metre cannot be kept.

•People must always keep a mask in their pocket, so in case of impossibility to keep the 1-meter physical distance, they can wear it.

Temperature check:

We will conduct body temperatures measurement on a regular basis, should there be any worrying signs, we’ll make sure to ask the people to isolate themselves in the tents until their condition improves.

Access to common areas/services:

•A disinfectant gel dispenser must be provided at the entrance to each toilet.

•Cleaning and disinfection need to be carried out at least twice a day. After breakfast and after lunch each participant needs to clean their toilet.

• A group cleaning rotation system that involves the participants will be applied for the common areas.

Sleeping areas:

•A disinfectant gel dispenser must be provided at the entrance of each room.

• Bed linen and pillowcase cover provided to guests have a certification of hygiene issued by the competent local entity.

•Inside the bedrooms, guests must respect the 1-meter interpersonal distance and 1-meter distance between beds.

•It is forbidden to move around the sleeping areas with your shoes: guests must wear their own slippers. Here you can find more information about the Italian regulationsCOVID-19 measures

Travel of participants:

– We will book the flight tickets for the participants, given that the partner organisations will hold a given non-refundable amount (we suggest 100€) to secure their participation and lower the chances of a last-minute cancellation. This fee would be reimbursed after the youth exchange, and won’t be reimbursed in case of a cancellation for any other case than catching COVID19. Hence, it will be used to book a new ticket.

– The participants will be directly picked up from the airport and dropped off on the departure day. We will communicate the exact pick-up and drop-off timing at a later stage.
