Alternativi International team is glad to share that even in COVID-19 time we manage to have offline activity which was the implementation of project “Digital youth work” which took place in Bansko, Bulgaria in the period between 4-11 June 2021. The main aim of the project was to is to provide youth workers and NGOs with the adequate and up to date measures knowledge, skills, competences and experience in digital youth work in order to engage more effectively young people, even those who are marginalized.
We managed to fulfull the objectives of the project fully :
-we provided deeper understanding of the concept of digital youth work
-we provided practical tools and increased the digital skills and knowledge for better volunteer management, online activism and online communication
-to strengthen the potential and capacity of the NGOs to better correspond to the nowadays needs of the young people by integrated technology and digital tools into everyday youth work.
During the project the participants presented good practices and projects from their own countries related to youth work and digital activism. All presented projects were in detail discussed – their strengths, how they can be applied in other countries, what tools have been used and why they have been successful. Quite interesting session on gemification was proposed to the participants where they needed to work creation of new youth projects which. Firstly we had geminified lecture, in which participants actively discussed each element of gemification.
