Alternativi international is partner in the Key Action 2 project Inclusion labs, financed by Erasmus plus program. The consortium consist of organization from Finland/coordinator/, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Georgia.
The lack of proper education and opportunities for development are a driving force for this problem. Young people with fewer opportunities and especially young refugees or youngsters with a migration background are particularly exposed. This can go alongside with discrimination and marginalisation and leads to social exclusion and in the worst case to radicalisation.
As part of the project, each partner is establishing so called Inclusion labs on local level to help young people, specially those with migrant origin combat youth unemployment, get skills and competences and empower them trough non formal education.
In January 2023 Alternativi has started implementing the Inclusion labs in Bulgaria-mostly in South west part, including Razlog, Bansko and Blagoevgrad cities-we have started with 2 day team building in January where we got to know each other and planned amazing activities together. In February we have implemented 4 workshops within Inclusion labs, focusing on providing knowledge, competences and skills in public speaking and CV writing.
Witinh next months, the participants in Inclusion labs will be able to gain awareness, knowledge and skills in No Hate Speech and Discrimination with Theatre Education ; Cyber-Bullying and Digital Security – Intercultural Awareness – Together ; Media Literacy; Mental Health; Media – Video Editing, Photo Stories, Coding, Writing for Social Media and Blogs – CAAT.
