The volunteers in the Diversity Fest European solidarity corps project active were really active not only during the activities proposed but they were coming up with their ideas as well that we supported as their personal projects. Thus they came up with a great idea how to promote diversity and cultural awareness on local level-by inviting locals to taste, feel and experience their cultures of course! So during the Diversity Fest project the volunteers organized 5 intercultural events for each country where they presented their countries, cultures, music, traditions, food, drinks, custom. During those 5 nights more than 200 locals came to enjoy and feel the diversity in Alternativi`s office.
During the cultural nights we have all laughed and smiled together, the local people were able also to understand more about the project itself and the activities of the volunteers in Bulgaria, as well as learn more about their experience in the country, what they think of Bulgaria; as well as about European solidarity corps.
Those activities contributed to promoting intercultural dialogues and understanding, solidarity, tolerance and cultural awareness as well as to increasing the visibility of volunteering European solidarity corps!
