From February 11th to 16th in Thessaloniki, Greece, the third training for mentors for social entrepreneurship entitled “Effective Mentoring” took place. Participants are 24 mentors for social entrepreneurship from six countries. The training is part of the project “Start it UP, Keep it UP” supported by the Erasmus + program of the European Commission, the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and partners from Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia. During the training, during the panel discussion, experiences were shared with mentors from each country and suggestions for a more efficient mentoring process. On the last day of the training, participants had the opportunity to visit several sustainable social businesses in Thessaloniki and learn from their experience. The representative of Azerbaijan Isa Zeynal said: “In the world practice, social businesses act as a natural solution to social problems in the community. “Mastering such practices in different countries will have an impact on the development of social entrepreneurship in our country.” As part of the next and final phase of the project, participants will participate in the International Forum for Social Entrepreneurship in Baku on April 5-10, 2020.
