About the project:
The overall aim of “Solidarity First: development of an united society” is to ensure understanding of European concepts, European citizenship and values, and encourage people to have the concepts of belonging to Europe, and promote voluntary service as a value and way for young people to become active in civil society. In crucial times, it is vital for young people throughout Europe to understand the true meaning of European unity. Our goal is to achieve recognition of volunteer services -its benefits and importance to the development of the local community, adapt to the beliefs and motivations of volunteer service, as a way to actively participate in civil society.
KNOWLEDGES- Encouraging the sense of belonging to the principles and the values of the European Union
CITIZENSHIP- Let young people understand the concept of European Union and European citizenship
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION- Encourage volunteers and young people to actively participate in civil society
Participant profile:
‣ From 18 to 25 years old;
‣ group leader no age limit;
‣ young people from rural areas;
‣ young people who have never participated in Erasmus+ mobility;
‣ young people motivated to acquire new knowledge and skills;
‣ young people interested in the project’s topic.
Participating countries:
Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Estonia and Slovakia
Insurance, Travel and Finances:
Health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organizers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance or/and to have a valid EUROPEAN INSURANCE CARD. We strongly remind you that:
- if you test positive for Covid before traveling to Italy and you will not be able to travel,
we will not be able to refund your travel to and from Italy; - if you test positive during your stay in Italy, at the end of the project we will not be
able to provide accommodation and food for the quarantine if you have to do it;
Accomodation and food:
“Solidarity First: development of an united society” will be implemented in the city of Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) from 12th to 20th September 2022. Participants will stay at “Hotel Palma” in Viale Europa, 244, 80053 Castellammare di Stabia NA. Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms with participants from different countries but the same gender. Wi-fi internet connection will be available at hotel areas. Accommodation and food for the participants for the whole duration of the project will be provided by the hosting organization. We strongly recommend each participant to inform the ORGANIZERS about any allergies or any health issues – when filling the application form.
Contribution fee:
Contribution fee of 30 euro will be collected from each participant from the receiving organization in Italy. This way we will ensure the participants have a stake in the project: a modest contribution from participants to the overall costs of a project helps to create a sense of investment and ownership as well as participants tend to value what they receive more when they have contributed to it. Apart from that with the latest situation worldwide all the costs are increasing however the allowance we recieve remain the same so we need to find other sources of funding to support the project implementation.
